In a 2008 survey, 84 per cent of people said they go on-line to find information about goods and services yet so often, businesses are not reaching a fraction of them.

Two of WSI’s most experienced professional internet marketers – John Warr and Marcus Roskill - have combined their teams and now work from new offices in the Membury Logistics Business Park, in West Berkshire. They report that the most common mistakes businesses make with the internet are: 

  • Thinking that you’re home and dry if you have a nice looking website. The key is to drive visitors to your website;
  • Not analysing what your competitors are doing so you can stay one step ahead;
  • Not having an on-line marketing strategy with clear objectives and a defined return on investment;
  • Not appreciating that investment in internet marketing can - not only increase business - but can also cut your costs in the long run;
  • Getting bogged down in the jargon surrounding it and not fully understanding its potential;

“If you find you are falling behind your competition, your internet marketing is one of the first of your business activities that should come under scrutiny. Most businesses still have the potential – with our help - to increase their orders or sales by 20 per cent in a matter of days – and it need not cost a fortune,” explained WSI consultant John Warr.
